On Monday, October 6, 2025, the city of Chemnitz warmly welcomes four members of the Jewish Community of Łódź to the town hall. Cornelia Siegel, Head of European and International Relations, will welcome the guests at 11 a.m. The reason for this visit is the festive setting of the Feast of Tabernacles Sukkot XXL, which is celebrated in Chemnitz from October 5th to 12th. The reception, to which representatives of the media are also invited, shows the close connection between Chemnitz and the Polish twin city of Łódź, which was highlighted by a visit by the chairwoman of the Jewish Community of Chemnitz, Dr. Ruth Röcher, was initiated in 2024 Chemnitz.de.
