The Imagine Festival will also take place on June 26, which marks the climax of the construction work. art and politics combined
In the context of the current social discussion about peace and war, there are also insights from outside. The Greek photojournalist Wassilis Aswestopoulos, who has documented countless pictures of refugees and migrants since 2008, recalls how important it is to transport messages, especially in times of crisis. The urgency of the topic is evident in his pictures, which often come from critical areas such as the border between Northern Macedonia and Greece. Citizens can refer to the website of the chemnitz peace day to obtain further information about such exhibitions and their meaning.
In addition, there is a broad space for discussions about peace and the current geopolitical tensions on the platform of the Peace Movement. The message is clear: peace in Europe is only possible in dialogue. These important topics run through the various events and make it clear that art and commitment to peace are inseparable from each other.
A visit to the exhibition will not only be a feast for the eyes, but also encourage visitors to think about the current challenges. Further information and explanations of the banners can be found on the official website chemnitzer-friedensbanner.de .
