Chemnitz, Deutschland - On June 14, 2025, Chemnitz beamed in full splendor, exactly in the time of the European Capital of Culture in 2025. On this exciting Saturday, the Chemnitz clubs become a real playground for cultural lovers, holidayers and night owls. As MDR reports until late at night, open their doors for a row of Aftershow parties.

A highlight promises to become the world cup, where DJs like Speedy, Lily and Qnoe create a really good atmosphere. But the spinning mill, the Satir and the Nonation Club have also teamed up and expect a variety of celebrants. Party-Pur is the order of the day, because the Kosmos Night in Transit will even continue until 8 a.m. until Sunday morning!

art and hands -on formats on Sunday

Sunday offers a great opportunity for everyone who wants to experience something else. During the day there is a hands -on program, art campaigns and discussion rounds. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. there is a cool festival ending event under the motto "Kosmos Cosmic Afterglow". The jazz concert at 11 a.m. is particularly appealing to the music lovers and on the castle pond island a picnic brunch concert is waiting at the same time to be enjoyed by the visitors.

As already in the preparations for the opening ceremony of Tag24 of visitors who populated the city center. The ceremony headed for the evening highlight, which found its place on the newly designed Nischel. Here, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier did not miss the opportunity to address a few words to the crowd, followed by rousing appearances of famous artists such as Bosse, Dilla and Fritz Kalkbrenner.

The evening was rounded off by an open air rave from 8 p.m. on the Neumarkt and in several clubs, where admission was free. The police's security concept held and no disorders were reported. With around 400 emergency services, the police ensured a peaceful atmosphere in the vicinity of the festival. Later, the Chemnitzer at the main train station should observe how a locomotive was ceremoniously pulled through the city.

The anticipation for the after-show parties

The aftershow parties are further fueled by the anticipation of the audience. A free entry to the brewing club has already been announced on Friday, which causes excitement among quite a few celebrations. Interest in the events is great and the city is a place full of life and creativity, through several waves of culture. Here pragmatism was combined with art and music, which enriches the Chemnitz cultural life today.

In a positive context, Mayor Sven Schulze and Federal Minister Claudia Roth, who with their enthusiasm for the Capital of Culture are underlining, also express themselves that something is just there, which is well received by the visitors.
