The Düsseldorf Panthers are celebrating an important success: With their recent victory over the Paderborn Dolphins, they secured relegation. Next Sunday, August 16, 2025, the next exciting match is coming up at the VFL Benrath stadium when they take on the undefeated Dresden Monarchs. The whistle kicks off at 4 p.m. and the Panthers go into the encounter against the favorites without any pressure. They already scored points in the first leg and it is certain that the spectators can expect an exciting game.

The Dresden Monarchs, who recently defeated the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns with an impressive 48:21, are doing everything they can to avenge their defeat in the 2024 GFL Bowl and win the title at this year's GFL Bowl. Their offense is hitting like lightning, averaging 43.9 points per game. The Monarchs' quarterback leads the Erima GFL's QB rating, and the main receiving station is US receiver Tyler Hudson, who has already scored 20 touchdowns. The Monarchs' defense is also considered strong and will be a challenge for the Panthers.

The next home game will be special for Panthers fans as numerous activities are planned. Pupils and students have free entry with their ID. The Panthers and Firecats youth teams will also be welcomed to the game, and the women's team will report on their final in Dresden in a half-time interview. There will be a flag display by the youth teams at halftime and many merchandise items will be heavily discounted. After the game, visitors can look forward to an aftergame party with a ring ceremony for the 2024 newcomers.

The VFL Benrath stadium opens its doors at 2 p.m. and access is via the Bayreuther Str car park. Tickets are available both in the shop and at the box office, and for fans who cannot be there there is a live stream via Sporteurope.tv.
