Mass remains with TowerStars: Eishockey hero extended contract!

In the ice hockey world there are news that not only make fans take notice. Today it became known that the Ravensburg Towerstars had extended the contract with their defender Philipp Mass. The 24-year-old, who played an impressive role in the past DEL2 season, shows that he is firmly anchored in the plans of the association. Mass had switched from the Nuremberg Ice Tigers to the TowerStars last year and was able to convince with solid performance during this time.

Mass, which was already active for other clubs such as Wolfsburg and Krefeld, has played over 160 games in the Penny Del during his career. Last season he stood on the ice in 54 games and scored three goals and 14 templates, which made him a valuable pillar on the defensive. The sporting director of the TowerStars, Marius Riedel, was optimistic about the continued cooperation and praised Mass' understanding and skills.

new addition to the Eislöwen

While the TowerStars strengthen their offensive, the Dresden Eislöwen brought a promising new addition to board with 22-year-old Connor Korte. Korte moves from EHC Freiburg to Dresden and is already the fourth station of his professional career in Germany. Previously, he stopped at the Hammer Eisbären and the Kassel Huskies, where he first has to get used to the high level.

The native Oberndorfer played in various young teams in his previous career, including in Rosenheim and at the EC Red Bull Salzburg. Korte also wore the jersey of the German U-National teams at an international level. However, his statistics still show room for improvement: Last season he was only able to score a goal for the Freiburg in 14 games.

Ravensburg tradition and outlook

The Ravensburg Towerstars, who fight for the title in the DEL2, can look back on a remarkable story.
