New arrival Faber already feels at home in Dresden!

News from the world of football in Dresden: 27-year-old Konrad Faber is moving to Dynamo Dresden on loan from FC St. Gallen for the coming season. His goal? To strengthen the right side of the defense after Jonas Sterner ended his loan. The most important requirement for the new player is a high amount of running and the ability to act both offensively and defensively, which Faber brings with him, as Dynamo Dresden reports.

Faber has already put down some roots in the city. He not only knows his new teammates well, but also has a long-standing friendship with Claudio Kammerknecht, with whom he played in Freiburg. He also has a good relationship with coach Thomas Stamm, which is based on their time together in the U23 team at SC Freiburg. Faber already feels at home and calls Dresden his “home”, as Bild reports.

A good start in Dresden

After his move, Faber immediately got into training well as he was already kept fit in St. Gallen. He came to the training camp in top shape and was warmly welcomed by his new teammates. Many of them offered him support, and even the wives of his teammates integrated his wife into the community. Dynamo captain Stefan Kutschke also helped Faber find an apartment and invited him to a barbecue evening - the perfect start to the new adventure.

What does Faber do in his free time? Not only does he have a love for football, but he is also interested in other sports. Whether padel tennis, golf or beach volleyball – Faber is versatile and motivated to always give 100 percent, regardless of the length of his loan.

A look into the past

Konrad Faber's career has taken him through various clubs. Born on November 4, 1997 in Breisach am Rhein, he played in his youth for SV Breisach, FC Emmendingen and Freiburger FC. The men's career began at SC Freiburg, followed by appearances in the second team and later at SSV Jahn Regensburg, where he played 53 games in the 2nd Bundesliga and 37 in the 3rd league. He was most recently active in the UEFA Conference League and played in seven games for St. Gallen, as the Transfermarkt overview shows.

Faber not only brings a lot of experience, but also a high level of commitment to Dresden. His signing sends a clear signal for the team and the coming challenges in the 2nd Bundesliga. Dynamo are now hoping that the new right-back will provide the right reinforcement and can take the team to a new level in the coming season.
