Purple Disco Machine conquers the Zwinger: tickets now!

The anticipation of a very special event is growing in Dresden! On May 22, 2026, the popular DJ and music producer Purple Disco Machine will give a concert in the newly restored Zwinger. Tino Piontek, better known as Purple Disco Machine, made the exciting announcement on August 18, 2025 during a concert on the banks of the Elbe. The event takes place on the occasion of the opening of the Zwinger's newly designed inner courtyard, which was extensively renovated between 2021 and 2025.

The Zwinger itself is a true gem of Baroque architecture, designed by Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann and considered one of the most important buildings of the Baroque period in Germany. It was originally built as an orangery and representative festival area and today serves as the cultural heart of Dresden, close to other sights such as the Frauenkirche or Dresden Castle. Despite the destruction in the Second World War, the Zwinger shines again in its full splendor after intensive reconstruction.

The exclusive ticket pre-sale starts on August 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. and ends on August 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. From August 20, 2025, the remaining tickets can also be purchased in regular advance sales, which should further fuel the enthusiasm.

The modernization of the Zwinger courtyard has not only prepared the space for the upcoming event, but also created new technical requirements that make it highly popular for large events.
