Shock in Dresden: Motorcyclist seriously injured after accident!

The events surrounding Dresden have made people sit up and take notice in the last few days. While traffic chaos and a few unpleasant incidents plagued the city, police reported several incidents that raised eyebrows. On September 3, 2025, a significant accident occurred in Johannstadt, which caused disruption not only for those involved, but also for the users of the Käthe-Kollwitz-Ufer.

A 39-year-old motorcyclist collided with a car there and was seriously injured. The driver, also 39 years old, only sustained minor injuries. The total damage is estimated at around 25,000 euros, and the road was completely closed while the accident was being investigated, which caused a significant amount of traffic. Sächsische reports that this was just one of many accidents in the last few days.

More traffic accidents

The accident in Friedrichstadt, in which a 32-year-old Hyundai driver crashed into a traffic light pole at night and suffered minor injuries, caused the damage balance to rise to around 5,000 euros. But the police were not only on duty in Friedrichstadt. There was also a serious incident in Wölfnitz when an 85-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car. The man's injuries are tragic, although current reports cannot provide further details.

Another worrying incident occurred at the “Bahnhof Mitte” stop. An 87-year-old woman was hit by a tram there. She had to be taken to hospital, underlining concerns about safety on public transport. An 18-year-old moped driver also sustained minor injuries in a collision with a VW Golf. Saxony Police is keeping an eye on all of this and is continuing to investigate.

Crime in the city

In addition to the traffic offenses, there were also reports of criminal activity in Dresden. A worrying incident happened when a 24-year-old was threatened with a knife on the Elbe meadows on Tuesday afternoon. The perpetrator managed to escape and the police have started an investigation into threats. A 44-year-old man was also caught stealing cables in the Wilsdruffer suburb. It seems that the police have a lot to do this week to maintain citizens' sense of security.

Another incident that caused unrest occurred on a tram. There, a 21-year-old US citizen was seriously injured when he approached two men who were harassing female passengers. The police were able to arrest one of the perpetrators, a 21-year-old Syrian, shortly after the incident, while the second perpetrator was able to escape. The police are calling on train passengers to come forward to provide further information.

In conclusion

The figures and reports from Dresden show that there are problems not only on the streets, but also on public transport and on the streets. Fortunately, police appear to be acting quickly to restore security and bring perpetrators to justice. It remains to be hoped that the situation will soon calm down again and that the injured people in particular will be on the mend.
