Police investigators tried to check a 29-year-old driver on Federal Highway 172. However, the young man decided to escape and sped away at high speed, accompanied by two other passengers - a 50-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman. After just five kilometers, the automobile odyssey ended on the train station square, where the car broke through a metal railing and came to a stop on the platform, reports MDR.
Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident. However, the exact background that led to the vehicle being checked is unclear, as is the amount of material damage caused. The police have not yet been able to provide any information on these points, which raises questions for attentive residents and travelers in Pirna. A spokesman for the police department simply stated that the escape took place at night and that further investigations now had to be carried out.
