Fynn Kratochwil: Thuringia's 14-year-old in the fast lane for the World Cup!

What's the case with motorcycle racing athletes? The eyes of the German motorsport fans in particular are currently aimed at a young boy from Mühlhausen: Fynn Kratochwil. The only 14-year-old has already won five out of six races this season of the Northern Talent Cup and shows that he has the stuff to step into the footsteps of great pilots. Dirk Heidolf, a former driver, sees enormous potential in Kratochwil and considers him to be one of the greatest talents in German motorsport. "Could be something," says Heidolf optimistically with regard to the future of the talented teenager.

Kratochwil impressively staged himself at the home weekend at the Sachsenring, where he was able to secure the first place in the qualification with more than half a second. For the young driver, who is also part of the ADAC funding program and starts in the European Talent Cup, things are going well. Under the guidance of Emilio Alzamora, the former 125 km world champion and head of his team, Kratochwil has the chance to further refine his skills.

The way to the World Cup

Dirk Heidolf and Fynn Kratochwil dream of jumping into the renowned Red Bull Rookies Cup, which is considered an important springboard to the World Cup. However, Heidolf still warns: "It could be that the step into the cup comes too early due to its young age." In any case, in order to be successful at this high level, Kratochwil must remain free of injuries.

The racetrack is not only a place of the competition for Kratochwil, but also an important step in its career. He reported on his experiences in the races: "The speed, fighting for success and constant improvement make sport so exciting for me." His role model is none other than Marc Marquez, whose successes and comebacks keep motivating him.

goals and challenges

currently Kratochwil visits the eighth class of a high school and juggles between school and racing. In addition to racing action, fitness training, cycling and occasionally football games keep him fit, even if knee problems are currently plagued. "After difficult days on the route, I often speak to my trainer and engineers. That helps me to stay motivated," said Kratochwil.

his big goal for the current season? Participation in the European Talent Cup and Northern Talent Cup, where he would like to win and at least under the top 3. In five years, Kratochwil will see himself in the Moto3 or Moto2 World Cup- a vision that can be brought to life with hard work and the right support.

The German motorsport community can look forward to exciting times. In talents like Fynn Kratochwil, the signs are on success, and it remains to be seen where the young driver's journey ultimately leads.
