Delicious Ur-Knacker and a happy wine festival return to Radebeul!
The Elbe meadow in Radebeul will be the scene for a colorful celebration next weekend. The Autumn and Wine Festival will take place from September 19th to 21st and preparations are already in full swing. It is important that after the flood last year, the Elbe meadow can now be used again for the festivities. This not only pleases the organizers, but also the showmen from all over the country, who are starting with a varied hustle and bustle.
The highlights of the fair include a 33 meter high Ferris wheel, the “break dance” and the popular bumper car. The opening of the fair takes place on Friday at 4 p.m. However, the showmen face challenges as the new safety requirements add additional pressure. As far as ticket prices are concerned, advance sales end on Friday at 5:00 p.m. After pre-sale, tickets can be purchased at the box office, with special family tickets and reduced offers for schoolchildren, students and the severely disabled Weinfest Radebeul.
Culinary highlights and creative activities
A real highlight of the festival is the Ur-Knacker, a specialty of master butcher Dirk Klotsche from Radeburg. In autumn and at Christmas time he prepared the traditional product according to a secret recipe that was discovered by his father in the city archives. The special cracker contains, among other things, cinnamon and is particularly popular during the holidays. Klotsche emphasizes the quality of his products, which should be edible for a long time Sächsische.
Guests can also expect an extensive program of artistic performances. Visitors can get creative with the impressive sculpture “Kollo Kollo”. Artistry and dancing are also planned at the festival site, which will further heat up the sociable atmosphere.
New momentum through the porcelain factory
The Meissen Porcelain Manufactory is also involved and will present its new collections during the wine festival, including special plates and limited collector's items. An in-house exhibition for club members and invited guests is planned for September, which will provide insights into the exquisite art of porcelain production.
Astrid Nicklich shows additional social commitment by collecting donations for the church bells in Bärnsdorf after her husband's death. The first new bell has already arrived. A benefit concert will take place on September 27th to continue their fundraising campaign and will provide a lot of emotion and community.
The combination of culinary delicacies, creative activities and a wide-ranging entertainment program makes the Autumn and Wine Festival in Radebeul a highlight of the year. Visitors can look forward to an unforgettable weekend.
