Flöha handball youngsters shine as starters in the Bundesliga!

A real highlight for the D-Youth team of VfB Blau-Gelb 21 Flöha: On October 19, 2025, the youth team was allowed to appear as induction children at a Bundesliga game between SC DHfK Leipzig and SC Magdeburg. 16 children from the club were there first hand when SC Magdeburg won the game 36:23 and thus further consolidated their lead in the table with 15:1 points. For the Flöhaer Kickers, this performance was not only a unique experience, but also an honor for their commitment to handball. Coach Ron Lößner, who was active in his youth, described the day as a great experience for the children.

However, VfB Flöha still sees itself on the rise in its own league. In the Regional Oberliga, Season East, the Flöhaers are currently undefeated at the top of the table with 6:0 points. While the D-Youth team is looking forward to the goal of winning the season and taking part in the championship, the next challenges are already looming: On October 25th they will face Roßwein and on November 1st they will meet SV Rotation Weißenborn.

A club with ambitions

VfB Blau-Gelb 21 Flöha has big plans in the last few months. “We want to grow again in the future,” is the club’s clear statement. The aim is to offer children and young people not only sporting activities, but also healthy leisure activities. Therefore, the first brushstrokes have already been made to refresh the club. In addition, another junior team will take part in league games next season, which underlines the positive development of the club.

Ron Lößner, coach of the youth team, not only brings years of playing experience, but also has a clear vision for the future of the club. He knows that it is important to offer children more than just sports. “We want to offer them growing perspectives and support them in their development,” Lößner continued.

With these goals in mind and their recent experience at a Bundesliga game, the Flöha handball players are motivated to get the most out of the coming season. It seems that VfB remains on the move and in the game of big dreams. The next duel promises to be exciting!
