The women's team came up trumps and secured their victory in the district class. Meanwhile, the men's team experienced a rather disappointing game, which unfortunately ended with no points. In Germany, volleyball is enjoying ever-increasing popularity, which is also proven by the numbers. According to one statistics The German Volleyball Association already had 436,000 members in 2024, with a significant increase of over 26,000 new members. What is particularly striking is that there are more female members than male members - a good sign for equality in sport.

The men's Bundesliga recorded an average of 1,458 spectators per game in the 2023/24 season, and the women's league had even more: 1,623 spectators. This is certainly good news for German volleyball and shows a lively interest in this team sport.
Perspectives for the future
In order to continue to ensure a solid level of volleyball, the German Volleyball Association introduced a new league system in 2024, which is intended to improve the transition between amateur and professional areas. In addition, the men's national team has finally qualified for the Olympic Games again in 2024 - an exciting prospect for the coming months. The women's teams also show strong performances and the German women's national team finished the 2023 European Championships in a respectable 6th place.

The home game day showed how important team spirit and the support of fans are in order to master the coming challenges with flying colors.
