The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. when a 55-year-old driver left the road shortly after the Hainichen junction. The tractor-trailer initially hit the guardrail, skidded and finally overturned, causing the vehicle to lie across the road. Fortunately, the driver was uninjured.
The accident resulted in a complete closure of the motorway, which has been in force since the early hours of the morning. Operating materials such as diesel and engine oil leaked, which made rescue and cleaning work even more difficult. Due to these circumstances, the A4 is expected to remain closed until midday.
