Flöha, Deutschland - The former post in Flöha soon shines in new splendor. After extensive renovation by the Flöha and the surrounding area, fresh life moves into the historic building. The total investment of 500,000 euros, of which 400,000 euros were planned for the building envelope and 100,000 euros were provided by the city of Flöha. With the opening of this new point of contact, the city is not only richer, but also an attractive range of services.

A 21-year-old retail clerk from the region took over the building and opens a colorful offer on Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is gastronomy, coffee, red wine, tobacco products and the lottery to discover. As has been heard in the past few days, postal services are expected to be available until July 23. You can also look forward to an expansion of the offer - a beer garden is planned!

On June 27th there is finally celebration. The official opening takes place from 2 to 7 p.m., which comes up with a varied program. The operator has also hired three workers in order to be able to optimally design the service on site. So Flöha shows itself on a positive course and brings a breath of fresh air to the spatial and economic development of the city.

Speaking of development, the view of the near future promises even more: Deutsche Post has already found a location for a new branch in Flöha. This is housed in the old post office at the train station and plans to offer new letter and parcel services. The opening of this branch is scheduled for July and it replaces the interim solutions on Pufendorfstrasse. Thus, the service in Flöha is being expanded around the post, and the citizens: inside can look forward to comprehensive care if Freie Presse will bring the new opportunities closer.

A look back: urban investments

This positive trend is no coincidence. Flöha has been constantly trying to improve his structures since the 1990s. As early as 1996, the city established the "Plaue/Bernsdorf" renovation area and implemented numerous measures that were able to grab 16.3 million euros in funding from the federal, state and the city itself. Almost all buildings in the renovation area have now been renovated or modernized, which has led to the remedy of urban planning grievances that had to be remedied until the entry into force of the building code according to § 136.
