End of the BMW Friends season: classic car celebration in Augustusburg Palace!
Last Saturday, October 18th, the end of the season for the BMW Friends and the *Sharknoseday* community took place in the picturesque Augustusburg Castle near Chemnitz. In bright sunshine, almost 150 BMW vehicles rolled through the city and the historic old town, creating a great atmosphere on this golden autumn day. Blick reports that the vintage cars were set up in the beautiful castle courtyard and farm yard so that visitors could marvel at the motorized treasures up close.
A special highlight of the event was the presence of the Opel Manta drivers from the *Mantaclub Sachsen* and the Mercedes lovers from the *Sternikonen community*. This diverse community of car fans appreciated the good cooperation with the castle, which has existed for four years and is a positive experience for both the participants and the organizers.
Emotional moments and social responsibility
There were also emotional moments during the event. At 4 p.m. a minute's silence was observed for the deceased BMW friend Mario, in whose memory balloons were sent into the sky. This gesture was very well received by the participants and underlined the solidarity of the community.
Furthermore, the event was not only a celebration of automobiles, but also a sign of social responsibility. A donation box was set up into which numerous visitors dropped money for social projects in the region. The participants showed solidarity and supported donations to the non-profit organization, which made the event an additional success.

October is generally an active month for classic car and classic car events. Numerous events take place throughout Germany, with the 19th NOSW vintage car meeting and the Veterama in Mannheim being particularly noteworthy AutoZeitung.
