From Monday it will be turbulent in the Göritzhain settlement in the Lunzenau district, because the S247 will be completely closed. The reason? A comprehensive road renovation of the state highway is planned. From there you can get back to the S247 to Lunzenau and back to Göritzhain. A similar diversion has also been set up for the opposite direction. Buses are also affected and will receive a new timetable with replacement stops: the Göritzhain stop will be moved from “Am Chemnitzberg” to “Am Kindergarten”, while the Cossen stop will be moved from the railway bridge to “Alte Straße”. The construction work is expected to last until November 21st and the total costs are estimated at around 40,000 euros.
