Oschatz competes in the Envia city competition-cycled 240 kilometers!

Oschatz is currently struggling into the picture in the Envia Ubstädtek competition and cycling remarkable 240.47 kilometers. In the previous year, Oschatz was able to cycle 221 kilometers and took third place, which meant for the municipality that around 1200 euros in local projects, including an Oschatz school and the sports club SV Progress Oschatz. Another highlight will be the next competition date on July 5 in Mücheln, Saxony-Anhalt, in which the Oschatz cyclists can again take their chance to struggle for a good cause.

The idea behind the competition is simple, but awesome: By collecting kilometers driven, non -profit projects are to be promoted in particular, which gives the participants a good feeling. Each built kilometer therefore brings five euros for local initiatives. So far, a total of 1075 kilometers have been cycled, and the competition was recently started on May 4th. Oberlungwitz currently leads with impressive 250 kilometers, followed by Markkleeberg and Markranstädt. The competition is now a long tradition and is enjoying great influx. The organizers, Enviam and Mitgas, have also brought in some innovations in this regard in recent years to increase the incentive to participate.

What is the motto of the competition? For a good cause - a competition that has existed in this form for 22 years. So it remains exciting whether Oschatz can ultimately bring the coveted prize money home.
