The exciting news from Bannewitz: The long-awaited Timberjacks restaurant will now open its doors a little later than originally planned. Managing director Thomas Kemner has officially confirmed that the opening has been postponed. The reason for this delay is the bankruptcy of a kitchen manufacturer, which unfortunately had a negative impact on the construction schedule. The construction site on the outskirts of Bannewitz is already causing a lot of curiosity in the region. Timberjacks, a popular restaurant chain with 14 locations nationwide, has announced itself as a new highlight. The final work on the roof structure is underway, while the interior work is due to begin after the screed has dried. Managing director Kemner had originally planned a partnership with a local investor, but this did not materialize. A restaurant for everyone
The new Timberjacks restaurant will focus on a diverse menu. In addition to the typical burgers, the restaurant offers a number of other attractions, such as bull riding and live music. A guest room with 260 seats and an outdoor area with up to 400 seats are planned, which could certainly become the most popular beer garden in the region in summer. Managing director Kemner aims for an annual number of guests of up to 130,000.
Together with Timberjacks, the aim is also to create numerous new jobs. Around 50 to 70 employees are planned, with the search for personnel starting with the determination of the final opening date. A notary contract for the open space behind the Timberjacks construction site is expected to be signed soon.
