In detail, 8.7 million euros are on the list of planned investments for the school extension and a further 5.8 million euros for the new daycare center. However, the focus has initially been shifted to the construction of a new fire station, which will tie up funds of around 20.7 million euros. Of this, 2.7 million euros will flow into the new fire department as funding from the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district. Mayor Uwe Rumberg has confirmed that a new funding application for the school and daycare project will be submitted next year in order to secure the urgently needed funds.
