On October 31st, the citizens' initiative Nature Park Saxon Switzerland invites you to a guided hike around the Großer Winterberg near Schmilka. The motto of the event is “Culture Trails – a border walk around the Großer Winterberg”. This annual initiative aims to raise awareness of local natural and cultural issues. The citizens' initiative was founded after a devastating forest fire in July 2022 that spread from the Czech Republic to the Großer Winterberg.
