Complete closures in Vogtland: Traffic jam chaos is imminent in Tobertitz and Bergen!
As of today, the state road S 297 in Tobertitz in the Vogtland district is closed for two weeks. From October 27th, the local power grid will be renewed here, which will require several crossings of the state road using the open construction method. It is therefore necessary to completely close the town thoroughfare, which affects the section between the town entrance from the direction of Reuth and the junction with Albertgasse. The construction work should, according to View, must be completed by November 7th so that the road can be used again soon.
Traffic lights had already been set up in the weeks before the closure, which was already causing delays. Road users now have to prepare for well-signposted detours. These lead via the S 311 to Thossen, further via the K 7862 to Rodersdorf and finally back to the S 297. Residents and commuters are asked to show understanding for the necessary restrictions.
Further closures in Bergen
But that's not the only thing that drivers in the Vogtland district currently have to pay attention to. On October 29th and 30th, Plauensche Straße in Bergen will also be completely closed. The affected section extends from Theumaer Straße to Poppengrüner Straße. The replacement and repair of five wastewater inspection shaft covers is on the agenda here. In this case too, half-way traffic routing is not possible due to the construction work, so the closure is unavoidable.
The diversions for road users take the S 301 to Poppengrün, the S 303 towards Werda, further to Kottengrün and then the S 315 to Lottengrün. From there it continues via Juchhöh, S 312 Theuma to the B 169. My regional compass draws attention to the fact that road users on the diversion routes should drive with foresight in order to avoid unnecessary traffic jams.
The Vogtlandkreis geoportal also offers an interactive map that shows the current closures and diversions. In this way, affected drivers can adapt to the changed traffic conditions in good time and choose a new route.
The construction work is part of a larger project to renew the infrastructure in Vogtland, which affects many residents and road users. The community asks for patience and understanding while the necessary measures are completed for the benefit of all.
