Historic DSF house in Dresden: Auction on August 27th!

A special piece of history will soon be auctioned in Dresden: the state-owned company SIB is looking for a buyer for the former DSF house on Max-Pechstein-Straße, a listed building that was built around 150 years ago. The auction will take place on August 27th, with the minimum bid being 65,000 euros. After several unsuccessful attempts to sell it, it is now hoped that the property, which is in need of renovation, will be handed over to new hands, reports Radio Zwickau.

The building, which was formerly known as “The Golden Cup”, has an exciting story to tell. A restaurant once opened on the ground floor, while the first floor housed a hall with a stage. For the nostalgic bidders, there is even an old bowling alley basement, which contributes significantly to the charm of the property.

Auction details and supporting program

The auction is organized by the Sächsischeimmobilienauktionen AG, which also has other real estate auctions. Auctions will take place in Leipzig and Dresden on August 25th and 30th, 2022, where a total of 88 properties with a total auction limit of around 12.2 million euros will go on the hammer. The minimum bids often start at very attractive starting prices, such as on, among others Day24 is to be read.

There are special entry requirements for these large auctions, as registration is required and wearing a medical mask is recommended. Anyone interested can order or download the catalog with the available objects free of charge. The auctions are also broadcast via live stream, so you can also bid from home.

Variety of properties

Sächsischeimmobilienauktionen AG offers a wide range of real estate, ranging from single-family homes and multi-family homes to commercial properties. The real estate transaction, including the preparatory services, is carried out professionally by a team of publicly appointed and sworn property auctioneers, as the website of IA Germany informed.

It is therefore no surprise that many property developers and investors are developing a good knack for such auctions. Whether it's the Gasthof zum Mohr in Halle or multi-family properties in the Saxony-Anhalt area, there is something for everyone.

At a time when property releases on the market are stalling, purchasing a listed property on Max-Pechstein-Straße in Dresden could represent a unique opportunity. So if you've always wanted to own a piece of history, you shouldn't miss this opportunity!
