Jahn Herrmann moves to SV Sandhausen: top scorer for promotion!
An unexpected change is causing a stir in the football scene: Jahn Herrmann, who has shone as a goal scorer at FSV Zwickau in the last two years, has decided not to go to the 3rd league, but to stay within the regional leagues. From next season he will play for SV Sandhausen. The relegated team from the 3rd league is investing a lot in the squad in order to achieve promotion. Herrmann himself is proud of this transfer and highlights the convincing discussions with the new head coach Olaf Janßen, who is convinced of his flexibility and game intelligence Tag24 reported.
The 24-year-old Herrmann can look back on an impressive record: last season he not only scored ten goals, but also prepared eight more, making him the FSV's top goalscorer. In a total of 67 league games for Zwickau, where he signed after moving from Blau-Weiß Linz in 2021, he only went into the background once because of a yellow-red card. This shows how valuable he was to his team.
A new beginning at SV Sandhausen
Herrmann will be the 13th new signing at SV Sandhausen. The other reinforcements also include the returnee Pascal Testroet, who is returning to his former club after a time at FC Ingolstadt. Janßen, who has taken over the coaching position in Sandhausen, is working on putting together a strong squad to increase the chances of promotion back to the 3rd league, as MDR reported.
While Herrmann was a sought-after player in the regional league - he made over 90 appearances and collected 37 scorer points - his move is also an issue for FSV Zwickau: There is no transfer fee because Herrmann has not extended his contract. This loss could pose challenges for the team next season.
What's next for other clubs?
SV Sandhausen is not the only club that will change. While SV is simultaneously bringing Gipson back from Carl Zeiss Jena, other clubs are also focusing on restructuring. Goalkeeper Luis Ackermann will move from Preußen Münster to FCC, as can also be read on Kicker.
The football world does not stand still and we can look forward to seeing what further transfers and developments the coming weeks will bring. One thing is certain: with Herrmann at SV Sandhausen, football fans can hope for more goals and exciting games!
