On to new heights: aircraft model making workshop in the Lindenau Museum!
Today, June 29, 2025, there is a very special event coming up in the Lindenau Museum Altenburg. The workshop “Towards New Heights” offers interested hobbyists the opportunity to build their own wooden airplane models and decorate them individually. Creative minds meet here, whether young or old, because the event is aimed at children and adults between the ages of 6 and 99. The ABG reports that the workshop was held in cooperation with the Modellsportclub Altenburger Land e. V. is carried out.
Important dates and registration
The creation of the wooden airplanes will take place on four afternoons: July 5th, 12th, 26th and August 2nd, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. However, if you want to be there, you should hurry up, as registration is required - for at least two of the dates on offer. The participation fee is a friendly 8 euros per person. Baptism of fire on the model airfield
The end of the workshop series is celebrated with a ceremonial baptism of fire for the self-built models. This will take place on August 16, 2025 at the model airfield in Prehna. Here, participants can see the fruits of their labor in action and experience how their models glide through the air. This is a highlight that both young builders and experienced model makers can look forward to.
Such events not only promote craft skills, but also strengthen the sense of community, because crafting in a team is twice as much fun. Such workshops are very popular in the Altenburg district and offer an excellent opportunity to make new friends and exchange ideas with like-minded people.
