Firefighters are challenged at the district cup in Pahna!
At the end of June 2025, the Pahna sea campsite turned into a pulsating arena for the young fire brigade. On the occasion of the 26th district tent camp, organized by the district youth fire brigade association, 636 young and young -at -heart participants came together. This event not only brought together the youth fire brigades, but also guests from Gera and the partner city of Offenburg, who expressed the feedback from the organizers very positively.
The focus of the event was exciting competitions for the coveted district cup. Here it was necessary for the young people to demonstrate their fire brigade knowledge at various stations around the picturesque lake. Among other things, the children and adolescents had to lay fire brigade nodes, connect portable ladders and even overcome an obstacle railway. These practical challenges were supplemented by a knowledge test in which the participants not only had to demonstrate good efficiency with the extinguishing water gun, but also learned the correct handling of card and compass. District youth fire brigade officer Stephan Penndorf emphasized the harmonious coexistence and the great commitment of all teams.

But the district tent camp offered more than just sporting challenges. A leisure activities such as swimming, night hikes and a large disco also ensured a balance between competition and relaxation. In a sense of community that welds both the young people and the supervisors together, everyone involved mastered the preferences and challenges of the warehouse.
The organization of such an extensive event is anything but child's play. As can be seen from the experience of the youth fire brigade, well -prepared free time highlights are highlights in the program and require thorough planning. When choosing the leisure goals, it should be started early, preferably one year in advance. Preliminary tours to visit the accommodation and leisure opportunities are important, as are the ensuring of an environmentally friendly journey, ideally by bus and train.
The connection between experience and nature experience is a central part of the work in the youth fire brigades. The tasks that the young firefighters had to master during the tent camp not only contributed to further training, but also promoted social responsibility. In order for the supervision to remain reliable during these intensive experiences, the supervisory obligation lies with the supervisors - a responsibility that is taken seriously.
The district tent camp impressively shows how valuable experiences such experiences are for children and young people and how they contribute to learning, growing and contributing to community. The experiences are also documented in youth work, where over three million hours of investing in the training and further training of the youth fire brigades are invested. The importance of these events should therefore not be underestimated - they not only offer knowledge, but also a feeling of belonging, which is of great importance in our society.
The photo gallery of the district tent camp will surely let many of the young participants think back on the exciting days, while the next plans for the coming year are already in full swing.
