Senior Guide 2025: Help and free time for an independent life!

The Altenburger Land senior guide has received a fresh new edition and is now available free of charge. Published by the Altenburger Land Senior Citizens' Advisory Council and the Equal Opportunities Officer Carina Michalsky, the publication was celebrated on September 12, 2025. This informative guide is a valuable resource for older people seeking support and guidance in various areas of life.

The guide is available at the Altenburg District Office, Lindenaustraße 9, and as a PDF on the District Office website at www.altenburgerland.de/de/seniorenbeirat. In addition to being centrally available in the district office, the signpost is also distributed to regular contact points in various municipalities in the district. This ensures that the information is easily accessible to everyone.

Contents of the senior guide

The new senior guide offers a wide range of topics that are of great importance to the older population. What can you expect? Information about:

  • Beratungs- und Hilfsangebote
  • Pflege und medizinische Versorgung
  • Wohnen im Alter
  • Freizeit- und Kulturangeboten
  • Vorsorge und rechtliche Fragen

The aim of this guide is to help older people lead independent lives and feel comfortable in their surroundings.
