The exciting derby between Rot-Weiß Erfurt and ZFC Meuselwitz got down to business on October 26, 2025. But the joy didn't last long: Meuselwitz equalized in the 21st minute, in the truest sense of the word, with a header from Florian Hansch, which Ikene unfortunately sent into his own goal.

The thrill was far from over. After the equalizer, Hansch scored in the 29th minute with a goal from a cross from Christoph Pauling to make it 2-1 for Meuselwitz. The first 45 minutes were marked by further chances, but Caciel and Pauling failed to increase the score before half-time. Erfurt's Otto remained a secure support in this phase.
The second half brought new excitement: Marco Wolf turned the game in Erfurt's favor with two quick goals in the 48th and 52nd minutes. The coach's team would certainly have wanted to calm the game down, but Meuselwitz was far from giving up. In the 69th minute, Pauling equalized after Otto blocked a shot, sending fans from both sides into celebration.
Erfurt's Linus Schwarz prevented the score from making it 3-4 with a daring save in the 71st minute, thus saving his team from falling behind. Things got hectic in the final phase of the game, but Meuselwitz didn't allow much more and secured a deserved point. The teams ended in a 3-3 draw.
