Eisfeld rocks: 135 cyclists celebrate musical bike tour with dumplings!

The Eisfeld summer concerts have been waiting for an extraordinary event this year that has wonderfully combined music and movement. Mayor Christoph Bauer has gained a bet brilliantly: on the musical bike tour, it was supposed to draw at least 100 cyclists to Sachsenbrunn, and in fact 135 participants came together - including children, parents, grandparents and the mayor himself and the festival manager. This shows that the sense of community in Eisfeld is very popular.

Starting point of the bike tour was the Eisfelder Markt, where the mood was splendid in the pedals before the first step. The event not only offered a sporting pleasure, but also culinary delights: tasty dumplings were served on the sports field and the cyclists were spoiled by musical performances in the church of Sachsenbrunn. The motto of the festival, "in dialogue", promoted the exchange and gave the guests the opportunity to get into conversation.

The 9th ice fields of summer concerts run from July 4th to 12th, 2025 and offer a rich program that goes far beyond the bike tour. The Ensemble Filum made the festive start with works by Johann Sebastian Bach. A festival choir, consisting of amateur singers and professional musicians, invites you to actively participate - the registrations for it are currently opened.

In addition, a musical reading with actor Thomas Thieme in the Veßra monastery is offered, and there are other exciting formats on the program: a musical evening walk and even a hiking cinema with an open-air performance on the picturesque Itz spring are planned.
