The Theresienfest in Hildburghausen – the lovingly planned city festival – is just around the corner! From October 2nd to 5th, 2025, the city will once again shine in the splendor of festive traditions. This year marks the 33rd edition of the festival. Well, if that's not a reason to celebrate! The aim is to celebrate the connection to the homeland and the most important traditions.

The highlight of the festival is the grand parade that will take place on Sunday, October 5th. At the last meeting of the cultural committee it was recommended that city councilors as well as hunters and foresters take an active part in the parade. Brigitte Wütscher, chairwoman of the culture committee, emphasized how important it is that the city councilors represent the city in front of the eyes of the residents. The hunters and foresters will also play a special role by representing the 2,400 hectare city forest.
