An exciting event is just around the corner: On July 5, 2025, the big model flight show will take place at the “Kammberg” model airfield in the Ilm district, Thuringia. The MFC Geschwenda e.V. invites all aviation enthusiasts and families to a great day full of aviation highlights. The event begins with impressive flight demonstrations by model pilots who fly aircraft up to 150 kg. In addition to classic models, jets and fun planes will also be seen in the air. A special highlight for children is the new Kiddy Simulator, which was specially designed for young pilots aged 5 to 12 and offers a safe and fun way to experience flying up close. This simulator, which according to Taunus4Family is easy to use, gives children a realistic feeling of flying and makes their eyes light up.
Night flight and musical entertainment
Another highlight is the balloon glow and the night flight with illuminated flying objects, which bathe the event in a magical light. The event will be accompanied by music from the band G7 from Geraberg, which will perform from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Afterwards, DJ Patrick will provide the right atmosphere to end the evening.
Your physical well-being is also taken care of. Visitors can look forward to homemade village cakes, hearty grilled dishes and refreshing drinks. And the best part? There is also the option of camping on the club grounds. From July 3rd, arrivals are possible for all guest pilots.
