Ilm-Kreis Music School wants to revitalize its partnership with Dubi!

Now it's getting musical in the region! The music school of the Ilm district and the music school in Dubi, Czech Republic, have a long, eventful history of cooperation, which has, however, sputtered somewhat in recent years. But Björn Helmer Schmidt, the committed director of the Arnstadt-Ilmenau music school, has decided to bring a breath of fresh air into the partnership. “This cooperation is important and we would like to actively live it again,” says Schmidt, who sees the different requirements of the two schools as an opportunity to learn from each other.

The Arnstadt-Ilmenau music school itself has undergone an interesting development. It was founded in 1991, back then as a branch of the Erfurt Music School. Since then, the offering has expanded significantly and ranges from early musical education for the little ones to extensive instrumental subjects that cater to all possible tastes. From string instruments to wind instruments to singing and drums – everyone will find what they are looking for here.
