Records at the Zella-Mehliser staircase: Max and Enya inspire!

Zella-Mehlis, Deutschland - on June 18, 2025 it was time again: the staircase in Zella-Mehlis also attracted numerous sports-loving spectators and participants in his seventh edition. After the Corona-related decline in recent years, the event, which has been taking place in summer since 2019, shows again that the enthusiasm for sporting challenges has been unbroken.

With a fabulous time of 3:09 minutes, Max Widder set a new record for the 179 levels and thus secured first place. Enya Fee Janson was the fastest woman of the day and crossed the finish line in 4:16 minutes. A total of 102 starters went to the 850 meter long route to the monument on the Lerchenberg.

The results of the youngest were particularly gratifying. In the U10 age group, Toni Simon from Rhöner WSV and Maria Sobolewski from SWV Goldlauter-Heidersbach achieved new best values.
