Henning Bürger back at FC Carl Zeiss Jena: A new beginning for the youngsters!

FC Carl Zeiss Jena can announce an important new addition to the youth team. Henning Bürger, a well-known face in the club's history, returns and takes over the sporting management of the youth performance center (NLZ). Sports director Miroslav Jovic describes this return as a strong sign for the club and attests to Bürger's competence and passion for promoting young talent. Bürger was responsible for the NLZ from January 2022 to January 2024 before coaching the first team.

As MDR reports, Bürger is looking forward to working with the coaches and players. His return gives him the opportunity to recognize a lot of potential in the youth sector and to actively work on developing it further. The importance of youth work is also shared by others in Jena. Dominic Stumpf, who took over management of the office from January 1, 2022, also brings a lot of experience with him. He succeeds Maximilian Huxoll, who moved to a handball club.

Reinforcement for management

Klaus Berka, President of FC Carl Zeiss Jena, is optimistic about filling this key position and emphasizes Stumpf's experience in youth work. Stumpf comes from the U17 and U19 of FSV Zwickau and holds an A license. His career also included working as a training manager at the Berlin Football Association and as a video analyst for Arab clubs.

The return of Henning Bürger and the hiring of Dominic Stumpf demonstrate a clear commitment to promoting youth in the club. This becomes particularly important in a football environment that faces numerous challenges. The historical review of the development of football in Germany shows that changes in society also influence the sport of football, from the early start of a career to drop-out problems in youth. In this context, the BISP emphasizes the need for constructive pedagogical strategies to support young talents.

The NLZ under Bürger and Stumpf will take these developments into account. Both bring not only experience, but also a breath of fresh air into the club's organization. The club is therefore ideally positioned to take the next steps in promoting young talent and to provide positive impulses both on and off the pitch.
