Jena brings talented goalkeeper Luis Ackermann from Münster into the team!
There are always new developments at FC Carl Zeiss Jena! The club officially announced the transfer of goalkeeper Luis Ackermann today. The 22-year-old is moving from second division club SC Preußen Münster to the Thuringians and is now the new number three in goal after Alexios Dedidis moved to league rivals Hertha 03 Zehlendorf. In this way, the FCC shows that it is well positioned and responds to the needs of the team.
Loud Thuringia24 Ackermann is a highly talented keeper who not only has experience from his previous games, but also has development potential. Goalkeeping coach Paul Küas was extremely positive about his style of play and emphasized that the young goalkeeper fits the FCC's requirements profile perfectly.
Experiences and perspectives
The newcomer brings valuable regional league experience, played a total of 73 games in the men's division and ultimately played for the U23 of Preußen Münster. He enjoyed his training in the youth teams of SC Preußen Münster and Rot-Weiß Ahlen. This gave him a solid foundation that he can now build on in Jena.
In addition, the talented goalkeeper Till Härting remains in the FCC's youth squad. The 18-year-old will primarily play in the U19s to gain match practice. The club is pursuing the long-term development of the talent while at the same time strengthening the professional team through the signing of Ackermann.
Departures and realignment
By signing Luis Ackermann, the FCC is not only reacting to Dedidis' departure, but also to the general realignment in the squad. Let's take a look at the current changes: Philipp Wendt, a 28-year-old defensive player, also left the club after an early termination of his contract was agreed. Wendt made 11 appearances for the FCC this season and will now embark on a new path.
The goalkeeper position has been filled, and the mix of experienced players and promising talent in the squad promises excitement for the coming season. However, it remains to be seen whether coach Volkan Uluc will consider further changes in the goalkeeping department. However, one thing is certain: FCA will do everything in its power to be successful in the regional league!
