New district heating network: civil engineering work begins on Hermann-Löns-Straße!

Things are about to get busy in the city of Jena! On Monday, November 3rd, Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck will begin extensive civil engineering work on Hermann-Löns-Straße. The aim of these measures is to connect another building to the existing district heating network. This means that around 25 meters of new district heating pipes will be laid by the end of November.

Hermann-Löns-Straße will be completely closed in the area of house number 64. For drivers, the street is signposted as a dead end and a diversion via Winzerlaer Straße has been set up.

A look behind the scenes

Although such construction projects involve restrictions for residents and traffic, they are of great importance for future energy supplies. The expanded district heating network will help improve the efficiency of heat supply in Jena-Süd and provide environmentally friendly energy. Urban development is actively designed here, which ultimately benefits everyone.

Technological progress

On the other side of the spectrum, there is also a lot of movement in large companies. Microsoft, for example, has a mission to empower every person and organization to achieve more. A good company knows the importance of a strong culture, and Microsoft is committed to diversity and inclusion. Employees and their families are supported with first-class benefits, which not only enriches their everyday working life, but also increases their well-being. Tangible changes from management consulting show how valuable growth and the promotion of individual talents are.

Cultural events in the media landscape

Another exciting topic that is causing a stir in the media is the development of the series around “Wednesday”, based on the Addams Family. Tim Burton directed this project, which not only pays homage to old stories but also brings in new, fresh ideas. The first season, which features a mix of horror and humor, became a hit on Netflix, debuting at number one in 83 countries.
The second season has already started and preparations for a third season are underway. This proves that creative content is in demand even in times of rapid change and that there is a clear run on innovative storytelling formats.

Be inspired by these developments, whether on a small scale at municipal utilities or on a large scale at companies like Microsoft. There is a lot happening in our region and beyond!
