Big family festival in Schmalkalden: Fun, action and nougat await you!

Viba Nougat Welt, Schmalkalden, Deutschland - On September 20, 2025, Viba Nougat Welt in Schmalkalden becomes the setting for an extraordinary family campaign day. Under the motto "Amazing, laughing, celebrating", all generations are invited to experience a great program from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The district of Schmalkalden-Meiningen, Viba Sweets, the city of Schmalkalden and other participants have organized a colorful offer for the whole family to captivate every age group.

In order to not only experience the great variety of activities, but also to discover the world of nougat, the Viba Nougat World offers many nice highlights. Here, visitors learn how nougat is made, or can look forward to a precious tasting of the sweet treats. The glass confectionery manufacturer shows how chocolate, marzipan and nougat are decorated and packaged. In workshops, visitors can even create their own sweets and take them home.

The program includes a go-kart course and a mobile climbing wall. When the weather is suitable, visitors can do sports on a ski carpet and toboggan ramp. The autograph session with tobogganists Paul Gubitz and Hannes Orlamünder will be particularly exciting. There are numerous offers for the little guests: from selfies with the Viba mascot Robin Red to children's yoga to mandala painting on stones and wood.

The stage program also has a lot to offer. Skater ramps, beatbox and rapp workshops provide entertainment, while the "Thuringian Spielleut" with their historical musical instruments put visitors back into the world of tradition. Dance actions for seniors are also offered here, which means that the event conveys joy across generations.

There are also exciting workshops and experiment stations, such as robot technology and chainsaw art, where the audience can watch the wood design.
