Asbacher wins 200 euros voucher: Home Shop celebrates success!
In the heart of South Thuringia, the joy of local purchases blooms! On June 15, 2025, Annette Endter from Asbach was celebrated as the winner of a 200-euro voucher at the spring campaign "Home Shop blooms on". The campaign, which was launched by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) Südthüringen, attracted numerous participants and, with 500, ensured early bloomers for a colorful start of spring. Each of these flowers was given a reference to an accompanying online competition, which called up impressive 15,000 and came up over 400 participation on Instagram and Facebook. The winner was drawn on May 2, and now the happy Annette is planning to redeem its voucher in Schmalkalden.
The "Home Shop" campaign pursues an important goal: strengthening local trade and promoting the city centers as lively meeting points for locals and visitors. As Suhl IHK reports, local companies contribute not only to the economy, but also to the social community. They support customs care as well as schools and kindergartens and offer a personal service that is often valued when purchasing on site.
upcoming action days
The next "home shopping" campaign days are already in planning and aiming to attract numerous customers in the coming months. The planned dates are in nine cities:
- Sonneberg: 19./20. June
- Schleusingen: September 5th
- Suhl: September 27th
- Hildburghausen: September 28th
- Arnstadt: September 28th
- Meiningen: September 29 to October 5
- Eisfeld: October 5
- Schmalkalden: 18./19. October
- Steinbach-Hallenberg: October 25
These campaign days offer numerous hands -on activities and shopping experiences and help to increase the visibility of local trade. The trends in local trade show that adaptability to digital solutions is decisive for competitiveness. Local retailers are increasingly relying on online offers to enlarge their reach and offer their customers a shopping experience available around the clock.
In addition to the coordination on digital trends, the "home shopping" campaign emphasizes the importance of keeping the city center alive and supporting stationary business. Consumers appreciate the availability of the products directly when purchasing on site, which makes up the charm of the trade at home.
Overall, it can be seen that local trade is of the greatest importance not only for business and employment, but also for the sense of community in the cities. The “Home Shop” campaign is therefore a step in the right direction to promote and maintain these valuable structures in the long term.
