Firms season in Neuhaus: Igelshieb and Piesau ensure a festive mood!

The fair time in Neuhaus am Rennweg is just around the corner: In the coming weeks, the two places Igelshieb and Piesau are transformed into a festive mosaic of music, fun and culinary delights. The 69th edition of the hedgehogs of fun fair is celebrated from 25 to 27 July 2025. A highlight is the beer tapping on Friday, July 25th, at 7.30 p.m., followed by a lively appearance of the band "The Luckytones".

The fun fair offers a varied program for young and old: On Saturday, the festival begins at 2 p.m. with coffee and cake, while the band "Jojozeit" takes care of the musical accompaniment from 8 p.m. On Sunday, visitors can end the festival from 10 a.m. at the morning pint with "Bochbicher Gaudi Musikanten". The guests are spoiled with many treats such as dumplings, wild goulash and sausages.

Piesauer Kirmes - another highlight

After the hedgehog shoe, the Piesauer Kirmes will follow from August 1 to 3, 2025, which will open on Friday evening at 7 p.m. The Friday evening promises to be a real experience for celebrations with a house and Tekk evening from 8 p.m. Particularly noteworthy is the 15th glassmaker run, which takes place on Saturday, August 2 and attracts participants of all ages. The event is recognized as a rating run of the Sparkassen Cup and leads over the picturesque paths of the Rennsteig.

The start times are scheduled for the main run at 9.25 a.m. and for the children's run at 9.30 a.m. Registration is already possible online. The fair company will ensure the catering of the participants throughout the event, so that the athletes can fortify themselves with regional specialties such as Detscher and Bratwurst after the competition.

In addition to the glassmaker run, guests can expect a children's game afternoon from 2 p.m. on the fair day, and in the evening the "Ringo Fischer Band" will provide musical entertainment. The crowning glory will be crowned with popular music by "Rehbachtaler" and "Tettauer Blasmusik" as well as a disco and karaoke evening with "Too Late" at 6 p.m.
