The anticipation increases: The Sumbarcher Oktoberfest in Oberlind goes into the second round! From September 12th to 14th, 2025, the sports field in Oberlind will be transformed into a colorful festival area. The Oktoberfest will be opened on Friday at 4 p.m. by the Oberlind brass orchestra. Immediately afterwards, Mayor Heiko Voigt will hold the traditional beer tapping at 5:30 p.m. - a moment that many visitors are eagerly awaiting.

On Friday evening, the band M & M will provide live music from 8 p.m. and get the first partygoers dancing. Nothing makes you forget everyday life faster than good music and fresh Gessner beer on tap. The Gessner private brewery has made a name for itself not only with its classic beers, but also with new creations such as the “Gessner Sunrise” cola mix. So if you're in the mood for refreshment, you'll find a wide selection of drinks here.

A weekend full of attractions

Saturday is all about entertainment for the little guests. At 2 p.m., a children's program in the festival tent invites the youngest to play and have fun. DJ Kalle will then start with a warm-up at 5 p.m. before the band Pop nach Acht takes the stage at 8 p.m. At night it becomes particularly festive: at 11 p.m. a large fireworks display ensures a spectacular finale to the festival.

Sunday begins comfortably with a morning pint and a traditional white sausage breakfast from 11 a.m. From 12 p.m. the Oberlind brass orchestra will play again and get the festival visitors in a party mood. A big parade starts on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. on the market square and delights with colorful floats and happy participants. The culmination of the weekend will be celebrated with a big tattoo at 6:30 p.m.

Comfortable arrival and good entertainment

Free shuttle buses, which run between the stops on Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m., ensure a comfortable journey to the festival. In addition, the last trips at night will start at 1 a.m., so no one sacrifices their well-being just to get home.

The Sumbarcher Oktoberfest offers a variety of attractions and a music program for young and old, ideal for an autumn excursion. Whether with friends or family, you can feel the coziness of Bavarian tradition against the backdrop of the festival tent and the lovingly decorated stands.

The Sumbarcher Wiesn is another highlight in the autumn festival circuit, in which Törggelen in South Tyrol, which is celebrated between the end of September and the beginning of November, also plays a major role. There, many farms are transformed into culinary stopovers for hikers, who are treated to barley porridge and new wine - an experience that combines tradition and cuisine, similar to what the Sumbarcher Wiesn will do.

So, pump up your anticipation for that Oktoberfest highlights and get ready for a weekend full of fun, cuisine and the best music in Oberlind!
