The Benshausen children's and youth home recently celebrated a very special occasion: On June 20, 2025, the facility was able to celebrate its 75th birthday with a happy summer party. In bright weather, many companions and supporters, including the mayor of Zella-Mehlis, gathered on this day, Torsten Widder, to appreciate this significant anniversary. Over 70 invited guests were present and experienced a colorful program full of activities.
A special highlight of the festival was a varied entertainment offer. As part of the celebrations, there were also emotional speeches by facility manager Kathrin Langanke and other guests of honor. Langanke particularly thanked the Krebaum couple from Gelnhausen, who helped the home with his support. This honor was rounded off by handing over a self-made bird house by the home craft group. There was also a group photo in the park that recorded the positive community mood, followed by festive delicacies such as cake and snacks.
