On October 15, 2025 it will be that time again: TheWorld Anatomy Dayis just around the corner and will be accompanied by four exciting tours through theMeckel collectionscelebrated. These tours not only offer a deep insight into one of the largest anatomical teaching and research collections in Europe, but are also free of charge - a great opportunity to learn more about anatomy!
The Meckel collections, inInstitute for Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University Medical Center Halleare a true gem of medicine. They go back to a private collection of the Meckel medical family from the 18th century and include around 8,000 specimens, many of which are... historical unique items apply. This year also marks the collection's 10th anniversary as a “nationally valuable cultural asset”.
Tour details and participation
The tours take place on World Anatomy Day9 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.minstead of.
