Living diversity: Last round of dialogue Sitting in & having a say” in Halle!
There will soon be one last opportunity to engage in dialogue in Halle: the final event of the dialogue series “Additional & Have a Say” will take place on October 27, 2025 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Under the motto "Nothing like before? And still here!" All interested parties are invited to become part of the conversation at the Passage 13 neighborhood meeting point in Halle (Saale). The series is organized by the Halle (Saale) volunteer agency and HALLIANZ for Diversity, together with 14 hosts from different parts of the city. The goal? To bring people with different experiences and opinions into conversation and to ensure greater understanding of how Hall Life reported.
The positive experiences of previous dialogue events show that there is great interest in such an exchange. Karen Leonhardt from the Halle (Saale) volunteer agency sees the possibility of continuing the series in 2026. Anyone who has any questions or suggestions can contact the HALLIANZ Diversity Coordination and Specialist Office directly. Registration for the event is not necessary and your physical well-being will be provided on site with drinks and a snack.
Embedded in a diverse community
Exchange is particularly important in the region, as Julia Burghardt, head of the WELCOME meeting, emphasizes. She highlights how this welcoming framework helps refugees find common languages. Supporters from different areas are committed to an inclusive city. Hani Menzaljy from Solidarity City Halle and members of the HALLIANZ youth jury emphasize creative collaboration with young people and the importance of projects that offer young people the opportunity to actively participate in social life.
Strengthening community can also be done through targeted activities. Rouqaya Alkhateeb from Sprachbrücke Halle e.V. reports on a cooking meeting for refugee women and girls that not only promotes cooking, but also community. Such initiatives are important to create an inclusive atmosphere and support exchange, as well HALLIANCE for diversity determines.
Integration through education and participation
The path to integration leads through many doors, and education is a central key. Proficiency in the language of the host country is crucial. Language courses that are free and adapted to different levels are considered essential. The offer should range from basic language courses for everyday life to job-specific training. The creative design of everyday orientation through tandem programs or cultural encounters also promotes togetherness Living Quarter summarizes.
Highlighting access to multilingual information materials, support for recognition of qualifications and entry into the labor market is also important. In addition, social services and psychosocial support for immigrants should be given priority in order to ensure sustainable integration.
The upcoming dialogue on October 27th not only offers space for discussions, but is also a sign of an active community that lives diversity and democracy. We invite everyone to come along and be a part of these important conversations. Because as the saying goes? Change starts with us – so let’s get there!
