Marzahn Pride: Anniversary of diversity and a symbol against radicalism!
On June 21, 2025, Marzahn Pride will celebrate its seventh anniversary and invites everyone to take part in the colorful parade. How dielinke.berlin reported, the demonstration begins at 12:15 p.m. at the Springpfuhl S-Bahn station and moves through the district to Viktor-Klemperer-Platz. The event's motto is self-determination, acceptance, solidarity and respect - values that are in demand more than ever in our society today. From 3:00 p.m. there will be a street festival with a varied cultural program, at which the Left will be represented with its own stand.
An exciting highlight this year is the first registration of a counter-event by right-wing groups that want to question the goals of the demonstration. Nevertheless, the focus of Marzahn Pride remains on a peaceful and respectful dialogue about human rights and equality. According to the organizers of Quarteera e.V., taking part in the parade is an act of solidarity, which is particularly important in times of increasing social radicalization.
New Telegram bot for current information
The newly developed Telegram bot, which is available at @marzahn_pride_bot, is interesting for everyone involved. This bot offers valuable functions: it shows the route of the parade, provides information about the event program and keeps participants informed about current updates. The use of digital means shows how important it is to act in an inclusive and modern way, even in this day and age.
Loud marzahn-pride.de Since its first event six years ago, Marzahn Pride has developed into an indispensable event for the LGBTQ+ community and its supporters. Given the worrying developments in many parts of the world, such as recent legislative changes in Iraq or discriminatory policies in African countries, the importance of such events has only grown. In many countries people are persecuted and harassed because of their sexual orientation, while in others even small successes such as the legalization of same-sex marriage are triumphant.
Global challenges
The global challenges are serious, as the reports from amnesty.de show. In some African countries, same-sex relationships are still criminalized, which makes the realities of life for LGBTI people much more difficult. On the other hand, however, there are positive developments, such as the decision in Namibia to repeal discriminatory laws or the recognition of same-sex marriages in Greece. These global areas of tension make it clear how important the fight for equality and respect is.
So grab your colorful outfits and come to Marzahn Pride! Every step counts in order to set an example for the rights and dignity of all people. Don’t forget to activate your Telegram bot and keep up with current events – together we can make a big difference!
