Barnim District Adult Education Center: New program 2025/2026 for all generations!

The anticipation for the new school year is great! On September 12, 2025, the Barnim District Adult Education Center will start the 2025-2026 program year with the guiding theme “#zukunftsort_vhs: Skills for tomorrow”. A diverse range of courses awaits those interested, which not only contain practical impulses for sustainable business, but also promote creative deceleration through artistic offerings. The adult education center has invested heavily in recent years to increase its relevance through practice-oriented language courses for work and leisure as well as the teaching of modern skills, such as dealing with artificial intelligence.

There is also exciting news for creative minds: From October 2025, special courses will be offered for artists, which aim to provide them with the best possible support when working in the art industry. Under the guidance of lecturer Kira Dell, participants can, among other things, take part in a funding application workshop that will take place on October 19, 2024 at the adult education center in Bernau. The goals are to process funding applications and create portfolios. But that's not all - public relations, financing and management are also on the program. These courses are an excellent opportunity to better position yourself in the art profession and acquire valuable business knowledge.

Course offerings at KVHS Barnim

The KVHS Barnim offers over 500 different courses, including more than 20 specifically for children and young people. Particularly noteworthy are the over 30 training periods for professional, cultural and political further training. Course fees have been adjusted moderately after more than a decade: a 45-minute session now costs €3.50, with discounts for students, pensioners and those on benefits, to make education easier for everyone.
