Brandenburg an der Havel, Deutschland - In Cologne there will soon be a reason to celebrate! Thanks to the innovative ideas of Spiel-Bau , the first water-cooled slide is installed on a playground. This groundbreaking development emerged from the realization that traditional stainless steel slides can reach over 60 degrees Celsius on hot summer days. This is particularly painful for the little adventurers who play in short trousers. The creative minds behind this solution, Steffen Miksch and Alexander Schilling, have developed a smart cooling technique that will delight the playground visitors.
The water projects slide are operated by a small solar panel that drives a pump. This pump continuously circulates cooling fluid under the slide. The excess heat is released into the soil, which can reduce the temperature of the slide by up to 30 degrees Celsius - and without external power supply. The implementation of the idea
In view of the positive response and great demand, the slide will be installed this year and is part of a larger game hut device.
