Fanfest 2025: FC Energie Cottbus delights over 2,300 fans in the stadium

On Saturday, September 6th, 2025, the LEAG Energie Stadium in Cottbus was transformed into an atmospheric fortress arena when FC Energie Cottbus celebrated its big fan festival on the occasion of the club's 60th anniversary. Over 2,300 fans experienced a day full of emotions, football and memories. As FC Energie reports, the motto “Football, Legends & Emotions” was the focus of this festive event.

The day began with the Lauzi Cup, a tournament for children and youth teams, which was won by SV Eiche Branitz. A great example of the club's offspring and the promotion of young talent! The celebrations continued from midday with a fan club competition in which Frontside Cottbus won the 2025 championship.

Legends and autographs

A highlight of the festival was the so-called Legends Tournament, in which former Bundesliga stars such as Mario Basler and Dariusz Wosz took to the pitch. The winners of the Lauzi Cup and the fan club championship were even allowed to compete against these legends. Eduard Geyer put together a team of former stars, including Tomislav Piplica. Unfortunately, Franklin Bittencourt was injured during the game and had to be carried off the pitch.

The autograph session with the entire FC Energie Cottbus team took place from 3:00 p.m. and attracted a long rush. It was a valuable opportunity for fans to create personal memories. To cap off the game, which ended in a 7-5 win for FC Energie, Marc Andre Kruska scored a spectacular goal from the halfway line - a moment that had the crowd cheering and was reminiscent of previous Goal of the Month moments.

Entertainment for young and old

The program included not only football, but also a variety of activities for the whole family. The stadium had bouncy castles, obstacle courses, soccer darts and a large FCE flea market. Visitors were able to fortify themselves with delicious food and refreshing drinks at various food stands. Clara Valerie and the cult band nAund provided musical support for the evening with a concert that invited people to celebrate and sing along.

The event manager Diana Jahn and everyone involved deserve a big thank you for the successful organization of this emotional day. It was a festival that not only gave FC Energie Cottbus fans the opportunity to meet old heroes, but also to celebrate the history and passion for football.

In conclusion, it should be noted that the fan culture, which emerged after the Second World War and gained momentum in the early 1960s with the founding of the Bundesliga, was once again on display here in all its glory. Fans like those of FC Energie support their club not only in good times but also in difficult times and show great commitment and are connected by a passion that knows no limits (planet-wissen.de).
