A look at the education system

There is no uniform education system in Germany, as each federal state is responsible for its own education policy. Differences in school education are therefore not uncommon. Compulsory schooling usually begins in the year the child turns six and ends at the age of 18. The educational program covers various areas from primary school to tertiary education, which includes universities and technical colleges. This influences students and their decision to pursue an academic education bpb.de is to be read.

The study information day at the BTU is intended to provide a practical insight into academic educational opportunities and thus provide a decision-making aid for many young people who are considering a university. If you would like to find out more, you can view the complete program on the BTU website.
