Ted Tattermusch: Jena's top scorer moves to Energie Cottbus!

The football scene in Germany surprises again with a remarkable change: Ted Tattermusch is leaving FC Carl Zeiss Jena and slipping into the Energie Cottbus jersey. This decision was officially announced on June 12th. The 24-year-old striker, who is an impressive 1.94 meters tall, will strengthen the Cottbus team's offensive for the upcoming 2025/2026 season.

Tattermusch showed what he was made of last season for Jena in the Regionalliga Nordost. He demonstrated his abilities with 12 goals and 4 assists in 29 appearances. His coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz sees him as a welcome reinforcement for the aerial duels, as he is known for his aerial strength and robust playing style. “We need more presence in the air,” emphasizes Wollitz and is sure that Tattermusch meets this requirement in order to revive the Cottbus offensive.

A career with perspective

Tattermusch, who was born in Meppen, began his career in the Teglingen/Meppen/Schwefingen syndicate before joining the SV Meppen youth team as an 11-year-old. He then moved to Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021 and made an impressive 82 appearances in the 3rd league in three seasons with the club's U23s - a real top performer. Here he scored two goals and prepared seven more. He has now made almost 100 appearances in the third division and brings a wealth of experience to his new club, where squad planner Maniyel Nergiz describes him as an interesting player.

Energie Cottbus has also made two further new signings: Moritz Hannemann and Theo Ogbidi should also contribute to the attack in the 3rd league next season.
