Excitement and horror: Halloween weekend in the Dahme-Spreewald!

An exciting upcoming weekend is just around the corner, as Reformation Day on Friday, October 31st will ensure a long and entertaining weekend in the Dahme-Spreewald, Teltow-Fläming and Oder-Spree regions. While many spend time with their loved ones for Reformation Day, Halloween is celebrated widely in the region.

From October 31st to November 2nd, visitors can expect a colorful hustle and bustle with numerous Halloween events. The KW Event Center in Königs Wusterhausen opens the party scene on Friday at 10 p.m. with a rousing Halloween party. Things get going earlier for the little ghosts: from 2 p.m. the Klausdorf lido opens for a special children's event. In Bestensee, the Halloween House attracts frighteners big and small from 4 p.m., while the Wildau fire station promises a spooky adventure from 5 p.m. Luckenwalde Zoo is also hosting a spooky event from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., which is definitely worth it to get in the Halloween spirit.

Variety of events

But that's not all! There are more parties on the program on Saturday, such as the “We love Disco” in the Volkshaus Wildau from 9 p.m., where DJ NC Chris ensures a good atmosphere. If you want to party all night long, you shouldn't miss the “Halloween After Party” in the Zeuthen multi-purpose hall, which also starts at 9 p.m. So music and dancing abound!

In addition, the region offers many events not yet themed for Halloween. A “morning tour of the deer rut” in the Glaauer Tal game reserve on Saturday at 6:30 a.m. is an exciting nature experience for early risers. A free hike “On the trail of wolves” in the Jüterbog wilderness area on Sunday at 10 a.m. also promises an exciting adventure in nature.

Cultural highlights

Culturally, the weekend will be enriched by Reformation music in the Kreuzkirche Königs Wusterhausen on Friday at 7 p.m. and the opportunity to experience Schubert works in the Old Fire Station Eichwalde on Saturday. It is a great opportunity for anyone interested in combining culture and tradition.

August is also the time of the markets: flea markets and flea markets invite you to browse on Fridays. If you are looking for new treasures, you should definitely visit the flea market in Zinna Monastery from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

October 31st has special meaning for Protestant Christians as it commemorates Martin Luther's 95 theses, which he nailed to the castle church in Wittenberg in 1517. In many federal states this is a public holiday, but in Austria church services and special events are also organized to reflect and live the faith proChrist reported.

Whether in a friendly atmosphere celebrating or in quiet remembrance - Reformation Day and Halloween offer numerous opportunities to make the weekend varied. Take the opportunity to get together with friends and family and enjoy the variety of events!
